The cattle process record identifies a band splitting saw with a balancer/tool-sanitation interface and a pneumatic lifting platform. Select the working arrangement around the carcass range and rail geometry, rather than treating the saw as an isolated purchase.
Match the tool to the working position
Give the supplier the carcass range, rail elevation and operator working-height requirement. Review platform travel and the saw support with the carcass presentation. Request equipment-specific dimensions and services from the supplier; none can be inferred reliably from a brochure image.
Include the surrounding service points
Locate the balancer/support arrangement, tool cleaning and sanitation access, power supply and maintenance area. Allocate each connection to the machinery or site-services package. The plant hygiene team should review the operating and cleaning procedure for the selected equipment.
Keep inspection and transfer connected
Confirm how the carcass arrives from dressing and how the split product proceeds to inspection, trimming and washing. Identify any holding or rejection interface required by the veterinarian. Splitting output must follow the agreed product and inspection route rather than a generic conveyor endpoint.
Questions to put in the equipment request
- What carcass range and rail elevation define the working position?
- Which band saw, support and lifting-platform scope is being quoted?
- Where are power, tool-sanitation and maintenance connections?
- How does the platform fit surrounding dressing and inspection work?
- What product route and operating checks are agreed for commissioning?

Ask the proposal to identify the model/configuration, drawing references, service connections, buyer responsibilities and checks for the connected station. Agree performance and acceptance criteria from project documents; a photograph does not establish them.
