The company cattle brochure identifies the tubular-rail cattle hoist as the transfer into suspended bleeding transport. Select it by the actual load and hanging route, with the building support and rail geometry reviewed together.
Define the load path on a section drawing
Give the equipment and structural teams the animal range, receiving level and proposed overhead rail elevation. Locate the lift path, its supporting structure and nearby platforms on one drawing. A photograph does not provide the loads or dimensions needed to approve the building support.
Check the hanging-chain and rail handoff
State the hanging arrangement entering the hoist and the rail or conveyor receiving it. Review curves, changes in elevation and the operator position around the transfer. Assign the receiving and discharge connections so an offer does not end with an undefined rail interface.
Reserve maintenance and controlled access
Identify how the hoist drive, rail connections and hanging components can be inspected and serviced. The plant team should review access around suspended movement and incorporate the selected operating procedure into commissioning and training documents.
Questions to put in the equipment request
- What load and cattle range must the selected hoist handle?
- What are the measured receiving level and bleeding rail elevation?
- Which hanging components and receiving rail are retained or supplied?
- Who provides the supports, power/control connection and access arrangement?
- How will the hoist and receiving conveyor be checked together before operation?
| Incoming connection | Outgoing connection |

| Selected restraint/slaughter receiving area | Suspended bleeding conveyor or the agreed bleeding rail |
Ask the proposal to identify the model/configuration, drawing references, service connections, buyer responsibilities and checks for the connected station. Agree performance and acceptance criteria from project documents; a photograph does not establish them.
