Mechanical hide pulling is a connected dressing station. The company equipment image shows a hydraulic hide puller with lifting platforms beside it. The selection brief must explain how the prepared hide reaches the puller and where the removed hide leaves the edible-product work area.
Start with the preceding manual work
Map the rehanging and manual pre-skinning positions before the puller. Record carcass orientation, rail elevation and how operators prepare and present the hide. A machine quote alone cannot resolve whether the upstream platform arrangement gives the required access.
Review puller and platform envelopes
Provide the cattle range and building dimensions for the puller and adjacent lifting platforms. Review the platform travel, support connections and service access with the drawing. Ask the supplier to state the selected drive/service arrangement, connection requirements and supply limits in the proposal.
Give the hide a separate destination
Plan reception and removal of the hide alongside the carcass rail. Identify handling containers or onward transfer, cleaning access and the building route to storage or collection. Confirm the hygiene separation with the plant team; the displayed equipment does not determine the site's waste permission.

- How much measured clearance surrounds the puller and platforms?
- Who supplies hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical services and supporting work?
- How does the removed hide leave the station without an undefined handoff?

Ask the proposal to identify the model/configuration, drawing references, service connections, buyer responsibilities and checks for the connected station. Agree performance and acceptance criteria from project documents; a photograph does not establish them.
